MySpace Waiting Game :: An Experiment with Support

Hi folks. This post was written in hopes of getting people together who share the same issue with MySpace. I have found in the past that publishing support articles to the web gets faster results than MySpace's internal "help" dept.

Below is the back and forth I've had with them so far. Myspace, if you read this:
I am neither a female nor a Capricorn!!! Please give me the ability to fix the error that exists on my profile! There is no way to change either my birth date or my male or female gender status. Guess what ... nothing weird going on, I've been a male since I was born in 1969. This is a music account that I use to promote my shows. I hate to do false advertising MySpace! This change must have happened in the past few months and I did not authorize it.

You'd think this would be an easy thing to fix.

MySpace? My fans and I are waiting for a human response please :)

Dear MySpace: This is my second correspondence regarding this problem. My hope is to get a human response. I do understand you are swamped with help requests.

My profile is showing on my MySpace blog as me being a Female and a Capricorn. LOL, I am a male and a Gemini. I did not make this change and can only assume it was either A) a hacker or B) A glitch in MySpace. I haven't shared my password with anyone.

All I want is to fix it and the help area had no help for me. The advice you sent below suggests using "edit profile" but in my music myspace profile editor as well as account area there is no section to adjust birthdate or male or female. Please send me a human and not auto-generated response to this question.

I am very frustrated, can you please get back to me as soon as possible?

My Weekly Podcast is up: "Making Discomfort Work for You"

We tend as people to eschew discomfort. Nowhere is this more true than with kids. As a teacher I have noticed that kids will do everything they can to avoid discomfort. This is the case wven though we all know that some of life's best treasures come about through suffering. No one said that life would be comfortable. In fact, if you take some time to consider all the suffering in the world, you might find that you are pretty lucky. Getting through life in spite of discomfort should be our goal.
